Introduction
A Beautiful Chess App for iPhone, iPad, and Mac
EaseChess is a native chess app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, built around a warm, distraction-free design and a board that is a pleasure to play on.
The board is rendered in lite 3D — an isometric orthographic view with soft shadows, smooth-shaded pieces, and an interactive tilt that follows your touch. Move by tapping or dragging, with legal-move hints showing where a piece can go and a last-move indicator keeping track of what just happened.
Every chess rule is in: castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate, stalemate, the fifty-move rule, threefold repetition, and insufficient material. Play pass-and-play against a friend, or take on the computer opponent at Easy, Medium, or Hard. The move history records each move in standard notation alongside its elapsed time, and every game is saved automatically — force-quit and relaunch picks up exactly where you left off.
